about PETER FLETCHER

I grew up in?

Jerdacuttup, Western Australia. That’s down south, near Esperance. My folks had a sheep farm and I rode horses a lot. I was the first person to ride a horse to my primary school; a distance of 27 kilometres. It’s a curious claim to fame I know.

Marital status

I married Rita in 1985. We met in Ardagh Brothers clothing store on Burt Street, Boulder. She took my breath away. We have two, furry, four-legged kids.

Worked for?

I started selling real estate for Brown James & Associates in Kalgoorlie in 1985. Rita and I moved to Perth in 1989 and I bought a run down real estate business in Victoria Park. Through hard work, determination and the commitment of a dedicated team I built a successful business that was at the forefront of technological and management practices.

I’m currently the Managing Director at Rezzi in Burswood.

Crazy stuff I’ve done

I’ve done a solo skydive, abseiled, para-glided and para-bungeed. I rode a bucking calf once but not for long. In 2005 I cycled from Kalgoorlie to Perth – a distance of 600 kilometres – in 19 hours, 6 minutes. My best and only marathon time was 4:37 for the City-to-Surf marathon in 2009.

To keep fit

I climb Jacob’s Ladder in Perth four or five times a week. It’s hypnotic.
