Jacob’s Many Shadows

I took this shot on Jacob’s Ladder just before sunrise today. The interplay between the changing angles of the stairs and handrails, and the shadows cast by the security light, creates a stark industrial look that’s harsh yet intriguing.

These two were taken just after sunrise but the early light was muted by the low clouds to the east. I edited all three photos using Apple iPhoto’s built-in tools.
