sketch.basement.org: Introducing : Sketchcasting

Could this be the next big thing in blogging? It's called Sketchcasting and is similar to podcasting but with the aid of a white board marker. As yet the mechanics of how to do this are a bit sketchy (pardon the pun) but it could catch on. It's not hard to imagine how this could be used to explain concepts in a similar manner to what is done in school or on the back of a beer coaster at the pub.

Stay tuned to this one, particularly if the interface turns out to be simple and straight forward.

Here's a really interesting article from Darren Rowse at Problogger about strategies to improve subscriber numbers to a blog. What jumps out here is the importance of taking a stand on something - saying something controversial - that gets polarises opinion.

Here's a great article about the importance of having a conversation with your customers. For many businesses, an open, public dialogue can be a frightening concept. But the benefits can be immense. When a business is willing to have such an authentic conversation, the levels of trust it develops with its customers provide advantages that far outweigh the often unfounded fear of a negative comment finding its way to a public blog.
